Rabbi Daniel Siegel is the Director of Spiritual Resources for ALEPH: Alliance for Jewish Renewal, the director of the ALEPH Bet Midrash, and a consultant to Jewish organizations and synagogues throughout the country. He is a member of the governing va'ad of the ALEPH Rabbinic Program and teaches halachic practice and method.

Rabbi Siegel was the first person to receive semicha from Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi. He has a BA from Rutgers University and an MA from Temple University. He trained and received a certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.

As a certified mediator Rabbi Siegel co-founded a successful mediation program at Dartmouth College, where he was Jewish Chaplain and rabbi for the Upper Valley Jewish Community for ten years. He teaches conflict resolution and is skilled in helping individuals and communities resolve conflict. His deep connection to Jewish texts and many years of working with Jews of all ages and varieties of practice make him especially sensitive to people's spiritual needs.

Reb Daniel is married to singer-songwriter Rabbi Hanna Tiferet Siegel, with whom he shared the parenting of three wonderful young men and now grandparenting of Eden Genie. He currently lives in rural British Columbia, where he tends a garden, cuts and splits his winter firewood, takes walks along the Pacific shore, and volunteers in helping his community search out viable and sustainable ways to enhance its local economy.
